This mushroom cloud is indicative of a thermonuclear explosion. This is nothing new according to Dr. John Brandenburg, who believes that the high concentration of Xenon-129 in the Martian atmosphere and uranium and thorium on the planet’s surface are remnants of an ancient nuclear explosion.
